The Native YouTube Subscribe Button plugin provides a shortcode to place a YouTube native style subscribe button in your website. It autoupdates your subscriber count within the button. A site visitor can auto subscribe to your channel directly from your website. To me this is much easier of an ask than first sending someone to YouTube and then hope they subscribe. You could also use this to have people subscribe to a secret channel where they get bonus content.

As many of you know I’ve been doing a lot of editing of blog posts and articles related to WordPress. One of the hardest things to embed is actual script code. You can’t really show the code in a form that work well within native WordPress. This plugin not only lets you embed code within your post, but it also gives line numbers in the code, so you have a nice point of reference when talking about the code in your blog. Very nice plugin that is easy to use.

Question from Adam in Jackson, Tennesee

Hi John and Marcus. I love the show and have a need for a plugin. I want to be able to accept bitcoins as either a donation or in exchange for swag on my site. What’s the best plugin to use?
Answer:

The best Bitcoin plugin I’ve seen so far is called Bitpay. https://wordpress.org/plugins/bitpay-for-woocommerce/ It sets up just like any other payment gateway that you would use in Woo, like Stripe or Paypal. It connects to your Bitpay Merchant Account, which you will need to sign up for. 24 hours after signup, you’ll be ready to accept your first Bitcoin into your WordPress site!

This is a very interesting new plugin that I’ve got my eye, and ear on. It’s been co-developed by both Amazon and WPEngine. Amazon Polly is a service that turns text into lifelike speech. With dozens of voices across a variety of languages, you can select the ideal voice and build engaging speech-enabled applications that work in many different countries. The Amazon Polly plugin for WordPress is a sample application that shows how WordPress creators can easily add Text-to-Speech capabilities to written content with Amazon Polly.
You can generate an audio feed for text-based content and insert it into an embedded player to increase the accessibility of your WordPress site. The sample code also enables you to publish podcasts directly from your site and make them available for listeners in the form of podcasts.
