Having a review done by us or having an interview helps the traffic to the developers website, as was bought to our attention recently when we did an interview and reviewed a plugin for a developer who sent us snap shots of their traffic before and after the shows. The traffic stayed, so there are great benefits to being reviewed by WP Plugins A to Z. Submit Your Plugin Here.

I have a great set of plugins for you today!

To start off I have a couple plugins that I have yet to use but thought you might want to know they exist. Keep in mind the ratings are based off the descriptions on their site and using their demo if available.

GraviTsheets

https://gravitsheets.com/

What they Say:
hWave created a WordPress plugin that connects Tsheets with Gravity Forms. Gravity Forms is a tool for creating advanced forms for WordPress-powered websites. The plugin is called GraviTsheets. It has a downloadable plugin with functionality that takes place behind a closed API.

Users of Gravity Forms and TSheets can instantly create TSheets unassigned shifts directly from their website. This allows service companies the ability to create any type of form that allows their customers to submit service requests that are sent directly to TSheets. This eliminates the need for manual entry submissions into TSheets. No more back and forth between apps or fishing through emails only to have to re-enter into Tsheets.

GraviTsheets also has the functionality to create follow-up customer service shifts. Users pick a follow-up interval of a set number of days and time of day after the service call. This “customer service” shift triggers the follow up action automatically for all service call shifts.

Another benefit is the potential to save money on third party connections. For example, Clockshark has a similar feature but it requires their customers to purchase a Zapier subscription of $20 to $50 per month. We eliminate the need for Zapier. With GraviTsheets, data is pushed just as fast if not faster than Zapier, and our subscription plan is $79 per year.

Version:1.9.21

Released:22 February 2017

(3.7 star out of 5)

The Lowdown:
Tracking stocks can be an interesting and profitable pastime. You can sign up in a myriad of place to keep track but if you want simplicity you can simple add this plugin to your own website and choose your favourite stocks to track.

Simple to setup and can be used as a widget or a short code on the page. You do need to create an account at https://finance.stockdio.com/ to get an API key. It does seem to be free at the current time, and is pretty straightforward.

ClassicPress Options

Since the release of Gutenberg, and it fallout ClassicPress has garnered allot of attention. This is a fork of WordPress and is focused on Business Websites and is looking pretty good. It does seem in the past few months ClassicPress is comming into its own a bit and with some plugins now being created specifically for ClassicPress I do believe it has a future.

One thing I am looking forward to in the Classicpress World is the expansion of the number of CP specific plugins and thier own repository. Currently there are not allot of CP sppecific plugin but I do know it is going to grow and I’ll have to expand this segment then. Who knows it could take over the whole show.

This weeks ClassicPress plugin is:

from AzureCurve

Conditional Links

https://development.azurecurve.co.uk/classicpress-plugins/conditional-links/

The Lowdown:

This plugin has captured my interest as I am re-building up a website from scratch. Something from about 20 years ago when I published an Arts and Entertainment Magazine. I had a columnist that did dream analysis and an advice column. I am rebuilding the site in ClassicPress and looking to keep it as much as possible in ClassicPress.

This plugin looks to be able to help with my internal linking as the new posts start to go up. You simply add a short code with a slug or a title and if a page or post exists you get a link if not you get plain text. Seems simple enough, so we shall see how it builds out.

Rating 4 Dragons.

Side notes:

I am in the process of setting up my first pure ClassicPress website and running experiments at the same time. I noticed that it is pretty clean on install with minimum amount of junk on initial install. I realize a couple things are needed by new users such as a sample post and page and a couple themes to choose from. So I thought I would run my standard first install plugin “Tasks After Install” which cleans everything up. Seems it does too good a job probably due to not recognizing ClassicPress. It removed all the themes except the basics needed to run the admin area. I do like that there are no junk plugins auto installed in ClassicPress.

I noticed that when you are doing a search using the repository it show you right away if the plugins are compatible with your version of Classic Press. You can also search with the tag “ClassicPress” to find plugins made to work in ClassicPress

To find a listing of ClassicPress specific plugins check out this link https://forums.classicpress.net/t/plugins-built-specifically-for-classicpress/1011?u=codepotent there is currently 37 plugins here and growing I look forward to the day they have their own repository. I can still recall WP when is had a small repository.

Closing out this Episode The Plugins I covered were:

John’s Plugins: GraviTsheets – 4, Stock Market Ticker – 4, GamiPress – 4, Conditional Links – 4
