Ambers’ Rant:
This is #26 of 52 episodes for 2021. Its Episode 518! Man-o-man, I hope everyone out there is fairing alright with this CRAZY heat! I had to call and bug my dad for tricks on how to stay cool in heat like this – I’ve only ever experienced heat like this when I had AC. The BEST trick he told me about was wetting down sheets, and hanging them over the doors and windows while those are open. The breeze blows through and gets cooled by the water. You need to wet the sheets down a lot throughout the day to keep it going though, so it’s a bit of work- but totally worth it!
Normally, I would recommend you get outside, but not this time. If you can, stay inside close to your endless supply of water and cold food. Or, head to somewhere with running water and shade. Either way though, turn off your media and enjoy the quiet and the calm!
Rinse and repeat as often as needed – though hopefully we don’t get any more 42c days this summer.

Windows 11 – will it work on your computer? Not even the developers know! – This could cause some issues for people… we shall see what happens!
EA left the security holes from December 2020 – So if you are a user of the gaming giant Electronic Arts, be aware that there are some serious cybersecurity issues going on with them. They are getting alot of flack about it now, but the issues have yet to be resolved.
Gutenberg 10.9 renamed the Query Block – And has added Collapsible List View Items, and is rolling out Rich URL Reviews. I’m sure the renaming will cause a little confusion, though I suppose it’s better done now rather than later.
Jetpack Launches a new Mobile App – Now available on iOS and Android. Gives you notifications and helps you in general to keep tabs on your site.

How technology is changing hiring and HR practices in general – This is a great article to look over as those of us who have been in the working world for a while need to get a better handle on how things are being done these days. No more shaking hands and learning a bit about the person who is interviewing or being interviewed through the hand shake – just looking at their face in a screen and hoping that their voice sounds at least similar to what you are hearing….

ClassicPress Options
ClassicPress is growing really well, but I just don’t have the time to add reviews on ClassicPress myself. I am always open to reviews sent in by listeners, though unless there is a review sent into me on ClassicPress I am not going to do more than mention that ClassicPress is a thing to be checked out. Here are some resources I hope listeners will find useful!
One thing I am looking forward to in the ClassicPress World is the expansion of the number of ClassicPress specific plugins and their own repository. There are a few plugins specifically for ClassicPress and all plugins for WordPress 4.9.9 work well on it. I do believe it has a future, I just have not time to help them in getting it out there.
