WordPress 4.6 is out in the wild now and I have started to do my updates so far only one site has broken and that was due to an incomplete autoupdate, manual upload of files fixed it. Not too sure I like the new way plugin updates and installs are handled but so far so good.

Gravity PDF

The Lowdown:
Recently I had the need to have all gravity forms for a client turned into something that could be printed on a single page, the form was not too long just had a number of fields and of course with Gravity Forms standard email all fields are stacked. Even if you css them for display. Well Gravity PDF solves that by allowing you to use the Gravity CSS column styles and when it creates the PDF it maintains that.
They have a few themes for you to use that produce a pretty good layout and if you are code inclined you can create or customize one of their themes for your specific needs. You can add a header text or graphic to the final output and more. All in all this was a pretty rocking plugin for creating great looking PDFs out of Gravity forms.

Gravity Forms Styler

Premium Plugin $34
The Lowdown:
Well this plugins was a bit of a disappointment, it reminded me that I should read the comments before buying a plugin. While they have a demo video showing how it works and it is pretty good it seems the video is out of date and they have made numerous changes to the plugin since the video was completed.
It does do some styling but I was looking for the ability to individually style separate fields and headers without all the extra CSS I would need to write. And at $34 almost the cost of a theme I was expecting something pretty good.
It turns out that it does a lot of basic styling and the easy sliders they show in they video are not there in the actual plugin. You cannot do individual elements only groups of elements. You cannot do the backgrounds of elements just the font colour, family, size and position. On some elements you can do the background but note you are still only limited to element groups.
Whale there is allot you can do with this plugin it was not everything thier description promised. My opinion not worth the $34 maybe $15 to $20.

Q&A – WordPress Questions and Answers Plugin

The Lowdown:
Have you ever wanted to have a Q&A section on your site that was user driven? This is a plugin for you it is pretty easy to get setup and use. You will need to create a couple pages for the questions to display on and a redirect page after they create a question. Answers can be voted up or down as most relevant. This could be a great way to get your visitors to participate in your website and you will see it soon on WP Plugins A to Z.

Login Watchdog logs failed login attempts and in any case of exceeding the number of failed attempts you’ve allowed in your settings, it blocks all future login attempts from that IP address.

WP Freshdesk lets you connect your WordPress site with your Freshdesk account. It also provides Single Sign-On to be configured between WordPress and Freshdesk, so that once the user is logged into your WordPress site, they don’t have to re-login on Freshdesk to view their tickets.

Post Lock prevents accidental updating or publishing of content by requiring a password to do either. It has a small padlock symbol that when clicked gives you a new password to enter into the box before it unlocks the publish or update button.
