Listener Feedback
I’ve recently started listening to your podcast. Very helpful, thanks.
I am looking for a WordPress plugin that will let me duplicate a defined set of widgets and populate those into a new widget area. I have a site that has many widget areas. Each widget area has five or six widgets and some of these widgets are text/html or PHP widgets (where the code is in the widget). It is becoming a big hassle – any time I change anything, I need to go into the code within each widget area and make the change for every widget area.
So essentially two different kinds of plugins would solve my problem:
1) Duplicate a defined set of widgets and populate those into widget areas
2) Lock a custom/text or PHP widget in the widget panel and save it as a custom widget which can then be dragged into a widget area
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Hey guys love the show and you have saved my butt many times with your plugin suggestions. I wonder if either of you have run across a good chatroom plugin. I host a live broadcast each month and while I investigating some premium, turnkey solutions I am looking for a stop gap solution for the next few months while I stream via Google Hangouts on Air. Question moderation is a plus but not necessary and I would only need to handle about 40-50 chatters.

Well this one looked promising but requires you to add several css tags to get it working as well as being a bit confusing on how to setup the survey. Unfortunately this is not one to be recommended.

This plugin is a 3rd party service that work very well and even works with other popups on your site like the WordPress popup pluing. While the free version will do what you want for basic surveys and one questions items you may want to opt for an upgraded account if you have more complex questions to ask . All in all it is pretty good and I do like with non conflict mode. You can also target it to specific urls for a site.

You need a white box WordPress and control the admin area for some of you clients well this one is for you. Make change to the admin bar, the asmin menu, change that admin theme to something really cool, colourize it and brand with your unique brand removing all traces of WordPress.. And many more options for th admin panel that will make you sing. Plus if you want you can purchase thier custom designed themes for the admin if you do not have the time or want to create your own.

This plugin is much like other “test content” insertion plugins, but this one also gives you the option to add placeholder images as well. This plugin is great for setting up new themes with test content.

Citation Box grabs all links in a post or page and lists them at the end of each post / page. The text contains only reference numbers to the links.
In the settings you can decide where this box is displayed. The first option will add a box at each post if the single post is viewed. The second is for pages and Home is referring to the main page where you can browser your articles. In addition, it is possible to choose own colors to fit perfectly to your theme.
If no links are found in a post / page also no Citation Box is shown.

Test your responsive website from the WordPress admin bar. This plugin uses the excellent Viewport Resizer bookmarklet to add a responsive button to the WordPress admin bar. Once pressed you can easily test your site in a range of common viewport sizes (e.g. iPhone, Tablet and Desktop).
The plugin is handy for testing during development and also for writers and editors to preview their content on different devices.
