Benefits – Benefits – Benefits

Having a review done by us or having an interview helps the traffic to the developers website, as was bought to our attention recently when we did an interview and reviewed a plugin for a developer who sent us snap shots of their traffic before and after the shows. The traffic stayed, so there are great benefits to being reviewed by WP Plugins A to Z. Submit Your Plugin Here.

Johns Rant:

Its episode 458 and I need more participation from you the producers this year as the sword of Damocles is still hanging over the show. Keep the feedback coming….. This is #18 of 52 episodes for 2020..

As we are 18 weeks into 2020 and 6 weeks into the isolation/lockdown game, however the storm seems to be passing and just like I remember after a cat 5 Typhoon when I was a kid looking outside and everything was a mess and people started to emerge from their shelters and begin the process of rebuilding the mess. You can feel the collective breath that the storm is over emerge into the sunshine and begin the process of rebuilding life. Whatever that life is going to look like in this brave new world.

Relax folks take a breath, go for a walk, build a garden and realize that while our world is now changed forever we will grow again and thrive. Save your sanity and your Amygdala and find out why your not gonna die by listening to the No Agenda Show

I do have more show spaces coming up for guest hosts, if you would like to join me as a guest host on the show please reach out to me at john@wppro.ca You can also go to https://wppluginsatoz.com/guesthost/

Let get to the fun we have today.

WordPress News and Info

Before we jump into the news, a couple observations about WordPress.

I used to be on the bandwagon of always using the latest and greatest of WordPress mainly because for many years they made improvements that actually made sense. It seems however the last couple years the “improvements” changes that have been forced down our thought have not always been the best.

There is an update out this week that addresses some bugs and security fixes and while most of my sites auto updated that which is ok I have a couple site that I do all updates manually because even the point updates will sometimes break the sites.

I had hoped with this update they would remove that stupid function of auto setting the editor to full screen but it does not seem that way. guess I will have to start testing the 5.4 update and report back.

ClassicPress Options

ClassicPress is a fast growing fork of WordPress that is starting to come into its own. ClassicPress is focused on Business Websites runs fast and is looking pretty good. There are a few plugins specifically for ClassicPress and all plugins for WordPress 4.9.9 work well on it. I do believe it has a future.

One thing I am looking forward to in the ClassicPress World is the expansion of the number of ClassicPress specific plugins and their own repository. Currently there are not a lot of ClassicPress specific plugins but I do know it is going to grow and I’ll have to expand this segment then. Who knows, it could take over the whole show.

This week for ClassicPress I have:
