Having a review done by us or having an interview helps the traffic to the developers website, as was bought to our attention recently when we did an interview and reviewed a plugin for a developer who sent us snap shots of their traffic before and after the shows. The traffic stayed, so there are great benefits to being reviewed by WP Plugins A to Z. Submit Your Plugin Here.

ClassicPress Options

ClassicPress is a fast growing fork of WordPress that is starting to come into its own. ClassicPress is focused on Business Websites runs fast and is looking pretty good. There are a few plugins specifically for ClassicPress and all plugins for WordPress 4.9.9 work well on it. I do believe it has a future.

One thing I am looking forward to in the ClassicPress World is the expansion of the number of ClassicPress specific plugins and their own repository. Currently there are not a lot of ClassicPress specific plugins but I do know it is going to grow and I’ll have to expand this segment then. Who knows, it could take over the whole show.

This week for ClassicPress I have:

General info:

WPvivid Backup Plugin For WordPress or ClassicPress

ClassicPress Plugins

ClassicPress Widget Conditions

https://github.com/mathewcallaghan/classicpress-widget-conditions

This plugin adds a conditions panel that lets you configure widgets to appear or be hidden on certain pages.

Slider Revolution Responsive (premium $29)

https://codecanyon.net/item/slider-revolution-responsive-wordpress-plugin/2751380

The Lowdown:
This is a premium plugin and now on ver 6 and while is is still one of the best sliders out there the new version is not as intuitive as it used to be. It had been a while since I had to create some sliders and when I jumped into it there was a pretty substantial learning curve. They have completely changed the interface and what used to be pretty intuitive is no longer.

The import process for a slider is no longer as easy as it used to be and while you can make some pretty complex sliders with it you are still having to navigate the way it now works.

The Lowdown:
AlertMe! places an email opt-in field to any page/post of your website, allowing your visitors to sign-up for email alerts whenever a page has been updated.

Why is this needed?: It’s not uncommon to manage content on a website that often gets updated. But how do you inform your visitors of this update? AlertMe! was designed to solve this problem. Without the need of a costly email, or inbound marketing system, AlertMe! uses your website to automatically send simple email notifications to visitors when a post or page has been updated. Via the power of this simple email, it helps pull traffic back to your website.

This from twitter
Thanks for taking a look at, and sharing, our plugin! Sorry we missed the Live Stream!! We thought the missing audio on YouTube was an issue on our end.. We’d like to address your concerns, and would have liked to be part of the discussion.. so again our apologies!
– Blog Owners Name (it’s nice to know who we are talking to, and suppose to be talking to)
– Username (helps us with verification)
– Email (verification and communication)
– Blog ID (a number that is specific to 1 site in your WP account)
– Domain URL (Must match via API, this way no one can use your code on their site**yes it was happening, and was showing up as referral spam in the Site Visitor Log**)
– Current Theme Name (troubleshooting)
– WordPress Version (troubleshooting)
– Plugin Version (troubleshooting)
That said, you should be able to see why these things are important to us. It’s also easier to see those details that the Site Owner might have not clue how to find, or it at least saves us the trouble of having to ask just so we can troubleshoot a possible conflict or issue.
As for the API.. We do provide a service, a service that comes at a cost to us.
Good news is, that we are usually running at 99.99% up-time (I can only see the last 90 days) and that 0.01% is probably an error on their end based on 1 min. pings.
On that note; User questions (thus far) are almost non existent because we like to be thorough. We make sure that we are satisfied, so you are too. Sometimes it may not be so apparent, but we’ve been here before and like to make things as easy as possible for all involved.
