Recent Revisions 1.1.1

The Lowdown:
In my search for a tracking plugin to track post revisions this one came up and it show all recent post revisions on your dashboard.. This is a great quick way to see any changes anyone has made to the site. Unfortunately this is all it really does..

Simple History 1.0.9

The Lowdown:
This plug was discovered during my search for monitoring for a clients site who needed to know what the assorted editors were doing and editing.. While it tracks all usage such as plugin install activation and removals it has a limitation of only tracking the last 60 days. But it does do a great job of tracking all changes that happen to the site so you can see what people are up to.
This gives you a page where you can examine everything on your site from:

Comment |
Plugin |
Post/Attachment |
Post/Encyclopedia |
Post |
Settings page |
User

Including making check by individual user all in all a great little tracking plugin to see what is happening on your site.

WP-Activity 2.0

The Lowdown
While this one does tracking it is more along the line of who logs in and what they did when they logged in. did they create a post create a user ect.. It does tell about comments added and stuff deleted. In actually this one help with a site that was compromised  a couple weeks back. When a client had an ex employee who knew an admin login to the site and came in and started deleted products from the estore.. This tracking helped us track their IP and when and what they deleted so we could fix it easier.. let that be a lesson that if an employees leaves the first thing you need to do is change all password to any account they might have access to.

A rather simple YouTube plug-in that allows the administrator to fill in a YouTube user and select a video to embed into a page.

This plug-in is different than others because it requires no pasting of special URL’s or remembering embed codes. The first step is to fill in your own (or someone else’s) YouTube username in the settings page. After this you can select any of your uploaded videos in the included widget.

Jen from Studiochaotic.com here. In regards to Dave asking about audio plugins. I would highly recommend wpaudio mp3 player. To start with it is extremely easy, and secondly it is perfectly accessible to all, in all browsers as well as mobile. Check it out in action along with shortcodes to use on https://studiochaotic.com/wpaudio.
I would not recommend Blubrry for audio clips as it is way overkill to use as just an audio player.
WPAudio can be placed as just a single clip in a post without taking up space, or a list of clips, which I suspect is what Dave might be after.

    Keep up the good work.

Marcus and John, you have a great show. But you already know that!

About what Dave was asking for — a single-clip audio player plugin that will work all over the place — I searched high and low for this about a year ago, and finally settled on Jetpack. It provides an audio shortcode that selectively loads either a little Flash player or an html5 player depending on browser capabilities. It works on laptops and mobile devices, etc etc. It plays .mp3 files flawlessly.

Then I ran into some trouble with other parts of Jetpack (some kind of network trouble at my hosting provider) so I grabbed the Jetpack source (thanks GPL, thanks Automattic) and pulled out the shortcode modules. I repackaged them into Shortpack, and that is working great.

So this is another suggestion similar to Jen’s.

Can’t wait for new shows… thanks again.
