The Lowdown:

A simple yet quick way to check up on the security of your site, simply install and then run the quick check it tell you any suggestion that may be available to insure you are secure. While a bit incomplete as compared to other checkers it could still be an excellent quick way to Check WordPress Health.

WP Elusive Iconfont 1.0

The Lowdown:

Looking for some great font icons this plugin have over 250 to choose from and you can enter them with a couple simple click in a post or if you want them permanent somewhere then add as CSS to your code. All the icons are scalable and can add that little extra you’re looking for when doing up your site. You can adjust them for size and colour.

InfoBar Top Notification 1.1

The Lowdown:

So You want a top notification bar on your site this is a pretty nice and simple one to use. Create notifications and schedule when they appear. You also get a couple of preset bar styles that you can use all in all a pretty nice notification plugin.

Lipsum is a highly configurable plugin that generates shortcode that’ll permit you to display dummy Latin (and non Latin) Lorem ipsum text in posts/pages with shortcode.

Features include:

• Generator shortcode (via the admin control panel) with the appropriate options that you can cut and paste into your post, page or widget. We built the little generator because of the multiple shortcode options that made fluid usage difficult.

• Options to update WP to enable shortcode in widgets and titles.

• One shortcode works on multiple posts or pages and generates new random text and paragraphs that’ll be cached by page ID.

• URL options lets you define multiple URLs and have random links created in text.

Lipsum is an early version of a plugin used to generate a single shortcode to populate mutiple pages in different ways. Since you can define the maximum and minimum paragraph count and words in each paragraph, each page is generated and cached individually. All transient cache data is deleted upon plugin deactivation.

This plugin enables themes to specify a different single.php template based on post category. As posts can have multiple categories assigned, it uses the following to select which possible custom template to use:

1) Categories directly assigned — Check for extant single-CATEGORYID.php files and prioritize based on category order

2) Parents of categories — Parents are checked based on category order of the directly assigned categories.

Note, the above assumes that there’s a category order plugin installed. If the categories are NOT in a specific order AND there are multiple categories assigned per post then the template selection will be left up to the server. Naturally, if there is only category assigned per post (or only one possible template per post), then there will be no issue.
