Benefits – Benefits – Benefits

Having a review by us or having an interview helps the traffic to the developers website. As was bought to our attention recently when we did an interview and reviewed a plugin for a developer who sent us snap shots of their traffic before and after the shows and the traffic stayed so there is some great benefits to being reviewed by WP Plugins A to Z.

Pity it’s so short…    … I could listen to this gold for hours! Marcus and John have a great rapport as they give reviews on 6 (or so) WordPress plugins each week. They make it very clear which are free and which have a premium version, so no nasty surprises when you decide to try them out. This is one of my “must listen to on day of release” podcasts. Great listening on my morning faux-commute (a morning walk). Excellent stuff from two real WordPress experts.

 The Lowdown:
If you want to know how much you have been writing on your website (word-count) this plugin is for you it track all the words you have created by post. Creating some interesting stats to show how prolific a writer you might be (or not). You can use this information to see how you are doing at creating content and if you seem to drone on or not. You could also have some goals in mind about writing a certain amount of content in the coming year. This plugin will help you set and reach some writing goals.
I did run into some issues in the MU environment it got caught in a loop on activation but it does seem to work well in a standalone WordPress install.

This is a short and sweet autocopmplete plugin, useful for autocompleting words, as the post author types the contents in the WordPress content area. By default, “WordPress” is the only word, which is autocompleted. So after installing and activating the plugin, when you, as an author, start typing the blog contents, after adding a new post, and when when you type “wo” , a small autocomplete box pops up beneath, with “WordPress” written on it. If you want to type “WordPress”, you can click on that widget, or if you want to type “wolverine” , you can keep typing, ignoring the widget. For adding more words, go to settings=>autocomplete options In the top row, there is a text box and a button. Type the word you want to add and press the “add word” button. This text box accepts only alphanumeric inputs. Now the new word is added in the list. To reset the list, press the “reset” button. And the list now resets to the original value “WordPress” This plugin uses “textcompleter” Jquery plugin
