May 27th is the TENTH ANNIVERSARY of the first WordPress release. The gang over at WordPress.org think this is worth celebrating, and we want WordPress fans all over the world to celebrate with us by throwing their own parties. Go to Meetup.com/wordpress to coordinate, and the WordPress staff will be putting up a website just for the 10th Anniversary so that they can collect photos, videos, tweets, and posts from all the parties.

The rules are very simple:

  1. Pick a place to go where a bunch of people can be merry — a park, a bar, a backyard, whatever

  2. Spread the word to local meetups, tech groups, press, etc and get people to say they’ll come to your party

  3. If 50 or more people RSVP to your party, we’ll try to send you some WordPress stickers and buttons

  4. Have party attendees post photos, videos, and the like with the #wp10 hashtag

And the hits just keep coming… it seems after my fiasco with server issue the botnets decided to wake up and start attacking wordpress websites across the internet. I started seeing loads of registration and attempts at logging in from various places i had never seen before. and found it necessary to implement a login procedure and a registration procedure.  This plugin is for the latter.

Install this and now you have a two step verification process for all new registrations

The lowdown:

Ok what I needed was a way o get a plugins that was only widigitzed into the header using php code and this looked like it. And lo and behold it was the right ticket with a little coding work and some tweaking I was able to call a widget into my menu car via a shortcode.. This is a great plugin for putting a widget anywhere you want it to be

TimeZoneCalculator 2.45

the Lowdown

I was in need of a simple way to display multiple time zones on a website and wanted to be able to customize the output of the information output. This plugin allows you to choose anytime zone and display them all then you can customize the output with your own message. It has a bgult in time calculator and allow you to display the times ian a nice widget. all in all this is a great plugin that works pretty simple and does exactly what I needed it to do.

“Uploag-in” will change the login procedures so that is requires a file to be uploaded to your login page for entry. It makes your login security more powerful.

If you lost your key?

If that user is not an administrator, login with administrator account and go to User. See that users profile and generate new key or delete key.

If user is administrator, connect your mySQL and delete row named sj-uploagin-key of user_id is 1. (delete from wp_usermeta where user_id=”1? and meta_key=”sj-uploagin-key”)

I cannot login via iPhone. It is impossible to login via iPhone. Developer is working on it!

Simple On/Off Switch

A simple plugin that returns an “On” or “Off” value via a Dashboard Widget. Values are displayed by the shortcode.

This can be used to globally turn off or on specific strings within posts, pages or widgets. For example sake, school is closed, etc. Good for weather based activities or events, or any other usage you can envision for this.

Would be nice to be able to get more than one global string for this plugin.
