  • Last Updated: 2 weeks ago
  • Requires WordPress Version: 3.0.1 or higher
  • Compatible up to: 4.5.3
  • Active Installs: 60+
  • WordPress.org Plugin Page »
The Lowdown:
This plugin promises to help reduce your system resource usage in particular CPU and RAM. All you need to do is install it an activate it no configurations. It seems to help but the difference was small. All in all a pretty nice little plugin that does wok in the MU environment.
Rating 4 Dragons.

Protection Against DDoS

The Lowdown:
A simple but yet effective plugin to help protect your site from attacks. Just install and activate and you have instant protection from attacks. This plugin works by setting a cookie in the users browser to see if they can log in. If it does not detect the cookie they are bounced and since bots do not cache things this will help bounce them from your site.

WordPress Inspector

The Lowdown:
A simple plugin to perform simple checks on your site to see how well it is performing it takes you to https://wordpress.inspector.io for a check but the results page do not tell you a whole lot when things are wrong.

SMNTCS WooCommerce Free Gift

SMNTCS WooCommerce Free Gift is a lightweight plugin to give away free gifts to your WooCommerce customers. It allows you to set a threshold in which customers spend a certain amount to qualify for the free gift. It has messages like “Spend another $4.88 to qualify for a free gift” or once it’s been reached, you can exclaim “Yeah! You have $85 in your cart, you qualify fot this free gift”. It then gives a button to allow the customer to accept the free gift and adds it to their order.

Easy Scroll Depth

Add a Scroll Depth to Google Analytics to track how far users scroll down on a page. This is nothing new, but this is the first plugin that I’ve used that actually works in Google Analytics. I’ve tried for over a year to get this part of Analytics to work and finally came across this new plugin.

John and Marcus, I just wanted to drop by and tell you that I am truly impressed with how the new site design is truly taking shape. Previously, I was struggling with its design and functionality, however, now I can see things more clearly. This will make navigating to shows where I am looking for plugins much smoother.

Thanks to both of you for your continued service to the entire WordPress community with the amazing show that you deliver on a weekly basis. I enjoy listening to each episode. Oftentimes, I find myself going back to previous episodes to listen to them again to re-visit discussions on item’s that I am thinking of using on client sites.
